Classes for Coaching Online and In Lloydminster

Update - There has been some conversations with ALA.
1. Coaches can start at the Community Development Level. This is what has been recommended. We will be cancelling the Intro to Community.
2. Juniors can challenge the Community Development. Recommend calling ALA.
3. We have 7 coaches confirmed so far so and the requirment this year is to have min. 2 per bench. We have 10 teams this year so we excpect around 22 to sign up for this.
4. Remember you can only do one level a year.

Jr.'s In Question In Lloydminster
Feb 22, 2010, 12:36 pm

As some of you may know and some others may not, Lloydminster has been developing a Lacrosse league here. The league consist of TYKE, NOVICE, PEEWEE, BANTAM, MIDGET, and JR. This year Lloydminster will not be running a JR. level team program. In the past the team was known as the Trison Brutes if that brings any recognition to some people out there. We have had to put the JR. program on hold due to various reasons. Some of those reasons are that we don’t have enough MIDGET players moving up, some of the previous JR. players are too old now, and some in house issues that are being addressed now. I have to be blunt in also saying that  the less than enthusiastic support from our community, our media, sponsor support and some of our parents have also contributed to this unfortunate setback. We seem to put so much emphasis on HOCKEY in this community that all the other great sports are left in the shadows. Over a three year period this JR. team has gone from being in a Tier 2 division, the following year droped down to a Tier 3 division, making it to the Provincial’s, and ultimately this year having no team. We are in the process of working with Kitscoty to try and form a JR. team that will play in the Tier 3 division to try help out those kids that still want to play this year. We must continue moving forward to strengthen this league to have a place for our future kids from the other levels to play. All parties that are involved in this sport will tell all out there that if you could support this sport, in any way at all, it would be very successful and also just come out and see that this sport provides; on the edge of your seat action, extreme skill and endurance, and complete teamwork.

 LLA Tournament Heads
The LLA is currently seeking two tournament coordinators. Please contact the LLA if you are interested.

We require one for league tournaments and on for provincial tournaments.

Lloydminster will be hosting the year end Bantam/Midget tournament this year so helping hands would be much appreciated.
